From District 3 Supervisor Aaron Peskin:

The work never stops. After a very brief post-election glow, we’re back in the swing of things working to secure more affordable housing through the State’s Homekey fund, hold hearings on the congestion and public safety impacts of autonomous vehicles, and launching a farmer’s market at the newly-christened Lower Polk Plaza on Austin Alley. We’ve also passed the strongest legislation in the state to protect small businesses from eviction and the cultural heritage of San Francisco.

We’ve got a lot more on deck. I hear your concerns about corrupt, bad actor contractors in the permitting process. I share your frustrations about delay after delay on major infrastructure projects along Van Ness and at the Rose Pak Chinatown Subway Station. We’re engaged with the Department of Public Works about how best to implement newly-passed Prop B to keep our streets clean, and with the Department of Building Inspection to ensure seamless implementation of the Storefront Vacancy Tax.

For more about the re-opening plan, visit this link. Keep wearing your masks. Keep washing your hands. Maintain social distancing and exercising other precautions. We’ll get through this together.

It’s my honor to serve you for another 4 years.

See you in the neighborhood,

Aaron Peskin
